Mary started off playing a used $35 dollar Harmony Archtop guitar her Dad bought for her at age 14. Not too long afterwards she got a Strat copy , and was jamming with neighborhood boys on a stage her Dad built in the garage.
While developing a love affair with the guitar, Mary started singing and writing her own songs. The very first was a Brazillian inspired called Cocktail Samba, written sitting on the beach while minding her surboard rental business. Her singing and songwriting blossomed as she sat in the sand strumming. The first gigs were just her and her guitar, playing for drunken sailors at the local Navy base. Then came the bands. Oh, the stories that could be told........ and some of them still are.
Mary's paid her dues everywhere from dive bars to ampitheatre stages. She's played with lots of people you may or may not have heard of.
"Cut Me Loose," a CD of original songs, is available on this website. It's a Polaroid of a scene. Constantly changing. There's always new stuff, new pictures and words everyday, or most every day.
Always in search of new sounds, Mary lays on her Ludwig's , tinkles the keyboard, thumps some bass, blows some harp, and has a hot time doin' it... A full pallette to paint music in different strokes.
You never know what you may hear.....................................................
